In line with its ambitious growth plans Plastek UK is delighted to announce the expansion of its Sales team.
Steve Rolfe has recently joined Plastek UK in the role of Business Development Manager. Steve’s background in the Packaging industry goes back to 1991, beginning at Boots the Chemist as an apprentice Electrical/Mechanical Engineer, running, maintaining and repairing the production lines that produced many of Boots’ creams and lotions.
He then moved into Product Development in Boots’ Head Office, developing many of Boots’ own brand lines including No7, 17 and Soap & Glory. “That was a very interesting role,” said Steve, “involving travel to many parts of the world to visit suppliers and customers in China, Taiwan, Italy, Greece, Albania, Ireland and Germany to name but a few.”
Steve then worked as a QC Manager running a department of 6 people before becoming a Sales Manager.
“I’m really excited and optimistic about joining Plastek and intend to grow our business through the diversification of our existing product portfolio, pushing innovation and educating our customers and prospects about our advanced manufacturing capabilities and sector-leading work in the development of sustainable plastic packaging.
Outside work, Steve’s keen interests include travel, food, craft beers, sport (he’s an avid Nottingham Forest fan) and his ever-expanding record collection, currently comprising more than 28,000 discs!
